VIAGRA is an oral medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. VIAGRA works by inhibiting the PDE5 enzyme in the corpus cavernosum, which leads to a decrease in the levels of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) and vasodilation. This leads to an increase in nitric oxide (NO) levels in the corpus cavernosum and a decrease in the production of cGMP. The increase in cGMP levels leads to relaxation of the smooth muscles in the corpus cavernosum and an increase in blood flow to the penis.
By inhibiting PDE5, the drug reduces the levels of nitric oxide and cGMP and enhances the effects of sexual stimulation. This is achieved by inhibiting PDE5 from inhibiting the enzyme PDE5. PDE5 is responsible for the degradation of cGMP and NO, which in turn leads to smooth muscle relaxation and increased blood flow to the penis.
It is important to note that VIAGRA does not cause spontaneous erections. However, the drug can help to maintain an erection if sexual stimulation is necessary. This is because sexual stimulation increases the sensitivity of the penis to the medication, which helps to achieve an erection.
It is recommended to take the tablet orally three times daily with each dose. The dosage is based on the type of sexual activity, and is taken at intervals of at least one hour.
The dosage should not be increased more than once a day, and should not be exceeded in a 24-hour period. In case of overdose, the medication should be discontinued and a medical evaluation should be performed.
The drug is usually taken with or without food, but should be taken at a low dose to avoid potential gastrointestinal side effects. The dose is usually one tablet daily. The dose is determined by the physician, and is often adjusted based on the results of the drug studies.
When the dose of VIAGRA is exceeded, side effects may include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, indigestion, and dizziness. You are required to complete a short medical consultation questionnaire that asks for any medications that you are prescribed from your GP and will indicate the medications that can’t be taken alongside Tadalafil.
There are several medicines which should not be taken concurrently with Tadalafil. Medicines which can have potentially serious interactions with Tadalafil include :-
• Any alpha-blocker medicines e.g. doxazosin (Cardura), alfuzosin (Xatral), tamsulosin, terazosin, or Flomax, that you can buy in the pharmacy. (These medicines may be used to treat prostate problems or high blood pressure).
• Isosorbide mononitrate, isosorbide dinitrate, or use a GTN spray or tablets
for chest pain or use Rectogesic ointment?
• Nicorandil (Ikorel), used to treat angina
• Cimetidine, used to treat stomach or duodenal (peptic) ulcers
• Theophylline, used to treat asthma
• Antibiotics:- Clarithromycin, Erythromycin and Telithromycin
• Anti-fungals such as itraconazole and ketoconazole
• Seizure medication:- carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin and primidone
• Heart or blood pressure medication:- disopyramide, amiodarone, quinidine and procainamide
• Anti-viral medication:- telaprevir, atazanavir, retonavir, indinavir, saquinavir and cobicistat
• Recreational drugs:- amyl nitrate (poppers)

Can a man be sick with Tadalafil when he is older? There have been no reports of increased side effects when taking Tadalafil between 30 and 60 years old. More older people have an increased risk of some serious side effects - including severe stomach pain, heart attack and strokes - than do people below 60 years.1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke.
